I guess it's about time. Work starts tomorrow morning. I have two days of orientation, where I guess I'll learn about computer systems, some legal terms, discover the office, etc. I'm sure there will be no shortage of paperwork, either - it's a law firm after all. I'll have details tomorrow. This will be the final big step on my journey from college to real life. It's definitely scary, but also exciting.

Yesterday I slept in for a while, then went to Starbucks to read through the Davidson Journal (the alumni magazine). There was big tear-jerker about Bobby Vagt, the outgoing president. Last night we went to Rocklands Barbeque, quickly becoming our favorite local restaurant. We're thinking about having a weekly outing there. Then we came back and listened to music for a while until going out again for a few beers. There aren't that many good bars in our area, we've discovered... next time we'll take a bus to Georgetown or Adams Morgan. I tried Guinness for the first time last night, and it was actually great. It tastes more like chocolate or coffee than it does beer, in my opinion... which is nice.

This morning I cooked pancakes for Erika, Dan, and Joel. Now we're just sitting around reading and stuff. I think at least Dan and I are going to church this afternoon. It'll probably be an early night, since I have to go to work in the morning (!).
