I’m out at Red Rocks Park and Amphitheater for the start of THE AMAZING RACE 9. It is a beautiful day, absolutely perfect conditions. Clear skies. We were here early this morning to see the sun come up, so we got to see the lovely golden light highlighting the red rocks all around us. It is now just a few hours from our “go” time of 10 am. I’ve got my make-up on. One of the two occasions when I have someone to do some panel beating work on my face--the beginning and the end. The rest of the time it is up to me and it would be fair to say I’m not an expert. Too hard most of the time trying to cover anything up when you’re sweating like there’s no tomorrow and sunscreen is running in your eyes. Wardrobe is all set. I literally have a book of Polaroids, so I just have to look for the outfit next to the country and use my trusty steamer to get rid of suitcase creases.
